Use your Oura ring data in Sixteen.

Today, Oura data reaches Sixteen through Apple Health: turn on Health sync in the Oura app and your sleep, heart rate and HRV flow in. A direct Oura connection is coming; this page will change when it ships.

How it connects

The data path, exactly.

The Oura app writes sleep, heart rate, HRV and workouts to Apple Health when you enable it. Sixteen reads those categories from Apple Health and scores them alongside anything else you wear.

Setup

  1. In the Oura app, open Settings and turn on Apple Health with every category enabled.
  2. In Sixteen, connect Apple Health and allow the same categories.
  3. Open the Oura app after waking so it pushes last night, then open Sixteen.

Good to know

  • Your Oura membership still governs what the Oura app shows you. Sixteen reads the raw metrics Oura writes, not Oura's scores.
  • Sync depends on the Oura app opening and writing.
  • We list Oura here because the data path is real and tested through Apple Health. We do not claim a native integration yet.

Questions people ask

Does Oura still sync to Apple Health without a membership?
The Apple Health sync is a setting in the Oura app rather than a membership feature, and the app keeps running with three basic scores after the membership lapses, so it should keep writing sleep and heart data to Apple Health. Confirm it on your ring; Oura changes what is free.
Can I use Oura without a membership through Sixteen?
Oura writes basic sleep and heart data to Apple Health with or without a membership, and Sixteen reads those. Whether that is enough for you depends on what Oura writes for your ring and plan. The direct connection, once it ships, will remove the dependency on the Oura app.
When is the direct Oura integration coming?
It is in development. We only mark an integration live when it works on real rings.
