Oura's sleep score and staging are its strength. Sixteen scores hours against a moving need, consistency, efficiency and overnight stress, and adds a bedtime lock so the schedule you set is the one you keep.
Oura readiness blends sleep, HRV, temperature and activity. Sixteen recovery uses HRV, resting heart rate and breathing against your baseline, capped by sleep, load and your journal, and it sets the day's strain target.
Oura tracks activity and logs workouts and meals. Sixteen adds heart rate zone strain, a strength log with sets and progression, a food database with macro targets, and movement that earns screen time.
Oura: buy the ring, then $5.99 a month or $69.99 a year for most of the app. Sixteen: no hardware, $99 once or $19.99 a month, using Apple Watch or a WHOOP strap. Oura data can reach Sixteen through Apple Health.
